Influenced by multiple genres of music and entertainers, Kween Ka$h found herself falling in love with the lyrics, choreography, and style of various artists. Born in Brooklyn, New York to Trinidadian parents, Kashana has no qualms about representing these dualities. Her distinguishable sound has enabled her to open for major recording artist and make appearances on major television networks. She was voted “Best Female Rapper” at the Underground Music Awards by her peers, as well as “Best Female Freestyler” at an all female Rapathon at the Hip Hop Culture Center in Harlem. Her debut album was released independently in 2008 and was indeed “Pure Fire”, suitably titled. There should be no doubt upon hearing her rhyme that she’s got skills.
